Our company was actually founded in 2002 as Handyman Connection when it was discovered that homeowners and commercial businesses alike experience problems trying to find a repairman to do the necessary small to medium sized repair or remodeling projects professionally. After ten years in business we decided to change our name to Home Repair Contractors. This change was driven by several factors. Some people think of a Handyman as unlicensed, unprofessional, and unreliable. Even after ten years of serving over 19,000 customers we often faced that kind of thinking. Our new name says what we do, (Home Repairs) and who we are, (Contractor). When coupled with our successful history, any doubt is removed about our capability or professionalism. We have already experienced responses to our name change and they are all very positive. When a customer calls Home Repair Contractors, during normal business hours, they get a live voice. Not someone’s wife, child, or answering machine, but a skilled and trained Customer Service Representative ready to help. After hours the phones are forwarded to one of the owners. On-time appointments are made and reconfirmed. Estimates are provided free and they are priced by the job, not by the hour and if accepted, generally started immediately or at the customers’ direction. Finally, all work is guaranteed in writing. Even though we specialize in small to medium home repairs and remodels, don’t mistake our small to medium job focus for mediocre work. Our craftsmen have at least 15 years experience and are screened for their qualifications, work history and personal background.
